InStyle Suites Invite
Eileen was presenting her collection over the past weekend at InStyle Magazine’s Golden Globes Suites, at the Four Seasons in LA. This annual event offers to selected guests – who are all attendees at Sunday’s Globes – the chance to pull together their look for the big night. Many’s a star was in attendance, here’s Nicola’s report, which she posted on her own blog here:
“So Eileen and I are back from a whirlwind trip to LA. We stayed at the beautiful Sofitel in Beverly Hills, saw many a celebrity, and drank many a cocktail!
We were there to participate in the 2009 Golden Globes InStyle Celebrity Gift Suites at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills. InStyle Magazine had invited EILEEN SHIELDS to participate in this exclusive event where we got to meet-and-greet with stylists, industry insiders and celebrities!
The Party Slipper was the hottest item at the suites, with celebrities and stylists filing in to see if they could score a pair! Hollywood Hottie Jessica Lowndes from the new 90210, Krysten Ritter (Confessions of a Shopaholic), and Rachel Boston (The Ex List) all went crazy over the slippers and left with their very own pair, not to mention a shopping list of the shoes they wanted to order from EILEEN SHIELDS!
Stylist to the stars, Jen Rade, fell in love with slippers and grabbed a couple of pairs, knowing that her client Angelina Jolie would go crazy for them. She also got a pair for TV personality Lisa Rinna, who was presenting the TVGuide Red Carpet show for the Golden Globes. Jen assured us that Lisa’s makeup artist would be holding the party slippers for Lisa to wear between takes! Minnie Driver also grabbed a pair for herself, exclaiming, “this is the best invention ever!! At the Vanity Fair Oscar party I ended up dancing barefoot, how cool is this!”.
Natalie Portman’s assistant called us on Saturday to arrange for a messenger to pick up the Gold Bella for Natalie to wear. Between trying on shoes, Nominee Kate Flannery (The Office) told us of her family’s Irish Pub in Philadelphia (T.A Flannery’s) and insisted we stop by for a drink if we’re ever on South 21st Street to visit her dad Ted, and brother Butch! Nominee Amber Frakes (24) was crazy for the ‘Kitty’ shoe in Teal, which we had to FedEx overnight from New York to her house in time for the awards. I talked to her today, she said she LOVED the shoes and got them just in time to walk the Red Carpet. Samaire Armstrong (Dirty Sexy Money) was crazy for the Bette in Black Patent, as did the adorable Madeline Martine Bury (Californication) who wore her’s to the awards! The gorgeous Sophina Brown (Numb3rs) came in with her handsome (and sweet!) beau Henry Simmons (Taxi) and both were salivating over the gold Eva with the feather, which she quicklly left with before anyone else could grab it! The charming Faune Chambers (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button) fell in love with her ‘Lia’ in nude, and the lovely Lauren Velez (Dexter) was THRILLED with her Gold Bella’s!
